Treasure Chests can be found on Islands by exploring.

There are three types of Treasure Chests: Gold, Energy and Torches.

Energy Chests immediately reward you with energy, allowing you to explore more, whereas Gold Chests contain coins needed to buy goods at the traders, build and upgrade buildings and purchase decorations.
Finally, Torch Chest contain additional torches to help you solve Ice Blocker Challenges.
